Medivation, in collaboration with Pfizer, is currently conducting two Phase 3 trials of dimebon in patients with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer’s disease –a confirmatory Phase 3 clinical trial and a Phase 3 trial evaluating dimebon in patients who are on existing cholinesterase inhibitors. We also are conducting a Phase 3 safety trial in patients on a variety of background anti-dementia medications, and two Phase 3 trials in patients with moderate-to-severe disease. In addition, in collaboration with Pfizer, we are conducting a Phase 3 trial of dimebon in patients with mild-to-moderate Huntington disease. We are conducting a Phase 3 clinical trial of MDV3100 – in collaboration with Astellas – called AFFIRM that is enrolling men with castration-resistant prostate cancer who were previously treated with docetaxel-based chemotherapy.
